The Fate of Lafarge Elsewhere

While the New York State DEC struggles with Lafarge Ravena's draft environmental impact statement, it's interesting to note that the government of India has overturned environmental approval of a $200-million cement plant proposed for Ghanger in northern India because of "the threat to the local economy and wildlife: "India scraps approval for Lafarge cement project."
