A Bad Way to Start the New Year

The Albany Times Union published a story at 6 p.m. today about an incident that took place in the early hours of 2011 in the 200 block of Warren Street: "Two stabbed in Hudson." The address mentioned in the report--222 Warren Street--is West Indies Natural Food. It would appear that the reporter, Paul Grondahl, has never actually been in Hudson since he characterizes the vicinity of 222 Warren Street as "an area of bars and restaurants." Let's see . . . there's DA|BA, Tanzy's, the Savoia, and Vico. I wonder how many of those establishments were still open at 3 a.m.

  1. Carole,

I was buying my paper at the deli on 2nd and Warren at 6:30 this morning. The whole block was cordoned off -- all restaurants closed!

  2. Peter--Nothing but that deli is ever open at 6:30 in the morning. I was asking which, if any, of the bars/restaurants in the area were open when the stabbings occurred at 3 a.m.
