At its meeting this morning, the Columbia County Capital Resource Corporation (CRC) voted to enter into an agreement to buy the vacant Walmart building on Fariview Avenue in Greenport. The CRC will make a $50,000 refundable deposit to keep the property off the market for 120 days, during which time the CRC will do its due diligence.
Meanwhile, responses to the CRC's RFP for the space needs and programming study are due next week. The CRC will schedule a special meeting to review the proposals and select an acceptable one. May 1 is the target date for the study to be completed.
