Not to Be Missed

An article in the Hill Country Observer about the region's growth as a rural getaway, which gives specific attention to Hudson, and Lee, Massachusetts: "The second-home economy"; and Sam Pratt's clear-eyed response to it: "Either/Or-ism."

  1. Most of these kinds of stories in the papers are very shallow. Digging into data and arriving at meaningful conclusions demands knowledge, analytical skill and lots and lots of work. This story, which I read, is no exception to the general rule that these little papers shed little light on complex subjects.
