Spotted . . .

at 8 a.m. this morning, heading down lower Allen Street toward the river, a big motor coach with "Nancy & Udean Christian Tours" emblazoned on its side. The sight of it caused me to wonder about the nature of a Christian tour. Did a Christian tour guarantee that you could travel in the exclusive company of other Christians? Was there something distinctly Christian about the itinerary of the tour? To find the answers, I did some research on the Internet.

It seems that Christian tours are a big industry. Nancy & Udean Christian Tours, headquartered in North Carolina, offers "bus tours, adventure tours, and international tours." In addition to "personal, impartial service to each tour member," they promise daily devotions on the motor coach and a Sunday School lesson taught en route every day.

I missed getting a picture of the bus this morning with the striking logo painted on its side, but I found this one online.

  1. Christian rock is probably the fastest-growing segment in the music industry.

It makes total sense that there would be a travel dimension as well.
