A Fish Story

When the new Hannaford supermarket in Livingston opened to critical acclaim a few weeks ago, I never imagined that I would ever find a reason to broaden my carbon footprint by driving out there instead of going to ShopRite. But a few nights ago, listening to WAMC while preparing dinner, I heard Pat Bradley report that the Hannaford supermarket chain had recently adopted a policy of selling only fish and seafood that can be proven to be sustainably harvested. I may have found a reason for the occasional excursion.
