You Ought to Be in Pictures . . .

You have the chance to star in a work of performance art by Italian artist Salvatore Scalora. It happens on Sunday, July 15, at 4:30 p.m. at Omi International Arts Center in Ghent. Forty-nine U.S. citizens over the age of 16 are needed for a half hour performance entitled Regen All. Participants are asked to wear white clothing, stand in a hole three feet deep, shake hands with people standing in similar holes nearby, and sing the national anthem. The artist says this of the event: "The performance seeks to restore the logic and freedom of expression, through an environmental intervention whose aim is the awakening of consciousness in terms of a reflection on the present and a future that is increasingly uncertain."

The performance will be filmed, and participants will receive limited edition signed photos of the event. To be a part of it, send an email to Salvatore Scalora or call (518) 382-7611.
