Not to Be Missed

Dr. David Carpenter, director of the Institute for Health and the Environment and professor in the University at Albany School of Public Health's Environmental Health Sciences Department, spoke at a public forum in Ghent last night. The forum, which was arranged by the Columbia County Environmental Management Council, discussed the effects of the TCI fire on the environment. John Mason reports on the forum in today's Register-Star: "Carpenter blasts state on TCI testing."

Sam Pratt now has a detailed report on the forum, based on notes taken by Patti Matheney, on his blog: "Expert calls TCI testing 'half-assed.'"
