Hudson in 1905: Part 78

The following is an excerpt from the booklet Illustrated Hudson, N. Y., published in 1905.

WALTERMIRE & WHITEMAN--The Leading Cash Markets. Two stores. At the corner of Park Place and Columbia street, and at No. 29 North Third street. The progressive spirit of Hudson is very obviously manifested in the establishment of two such markets as those under the successful management of Messrs. Waltermire & Whiteman. These two leading cash markets have been in operation for the past five years, and are growing more and more popular with the people of Hudson every year of their existence. All the finest fresh and salt meats may be obtained at all times, together with poultry and game in season. They are the people who will save you money. Fresh butter, eggs, vegetables and country produce a specialty. The business transacted by the markets necessitate the employment of six experienced meat cutters, men who know their trade and can satisfy the most fastidious with the choicest cuts. Orders are taken and delivered to any part of the city. Telephone call, Hudson River or Columbia.
