Great Expectations

The Classic Car & Motorcycle Show was supposed to attract a hundred cars and hordes of people. At the height of the show, according to reports, there were sixteen cars on display.

At 3:30, Warren Street was reopened from Third to City Hall Place. Between 4:30 and 5, all the barriers were removed.

  1. this was one of the loudest dumbest events in hudson in years. no cars, no crowds and bad music. perhaps the idea was good, but the execution was third grade.

sunday would have been better, a slower business day, and no loud music would have been a better bet.

while the rib joint owner is attracting business to his inferior food establishment with the noise, he drove hundreds of real hudson patrons away from town.

hopefully this is the last time business has to suffer this loser idea.

    1. Thanks, Tortillaville! It's not my work. It was contributed by a Gossips reader who was on site at what he assessed to be the height of the event. I hope the person who sent it is reading this acknowledgment.

  3. Seems like there's no better time than the present to find out the real story.

If it went as depicted here, the events that led to taking the 300 block out of commission for a day should be revisited the next time this business-owner seeks a permit.

    Had the city acted stupidly?

If the sponsor was so uncooperative, was he being unreasonable?

Decide now, because we'll definitely have to face the same issue again later.

  4. I we are going to have a car show around here somewhere, it would be nice to see some classy old machines, not a bunch of 70's muscle cars. The cars in this photo belong in the parking lot out behind Burger King.

  5. American Glory scored an Own Goal at this event. What a waste of time and effort.
