A Distinctly Hudson Cultural Opportunity

On Saturday, June 22, at 5 p.m., the Hudson Opera House and Diamond Opera Theater present, as part of Opera Deconstructed, a group called Notorious Five--five female artists who will perform operatic and non-operatic works in innovative ways. The five are Cynthia Powell, music director and accompanist; April Fisher and Allison Sniffin, sopranos; and Faye Timmer and Mary Deyerle Hack, mezzo-sopranos.

Saturday's program includes the Overture to The Marriage of Figaro arranged for voices and a five-minute version of the Baroque opera The Stoned Guest by P. D. Q. Bach (a.k.a. Peter Schickele). 

The performance takes place at Christ Church Episcopal at Union and East Court streets. A reception with the cast will follow in the Parish Hall. Admission is by donation.
