Economic Development in Columbia County

Sam Pratt has two important posts on his blog. The first reports on the plastics extrusion plant that was supposed to happen in the old button factory on the north end of Second Street here in Hudson: "Ashes for Phoenix Hudson?" The second recounts last night's informational meeting about the Columbia County airport: "County and Richmor heap scorn on their own 'grantsmanship.'"

    There is an interesting comment posted by a pseudonymous user on my airport report, commenting on the way the Register-Star only reports the official line -- omitting the public input -- when it covers these meetings.
