A Happy Change of Plan

Here's good news for all those seeking early signs of spring: the Indoor Market is returning sooner than we thought! The vendors who set up shop in the Parish Hall at Christ Church Episcopal on Saturday mornings originally said they'd be back in March, but Gossips got word this week from Chris Jones that the Indoor Market will be reopening on Saturday, February 1--the day before Groundhog Day!

The market will be starting off with about a dozen vendors, but the number is expected to swell in March when the hoop houses begin yielding more greens and shoots and sprouts. So mark your calendars! Not today, not next Saturday, but the Saturday after that--the first Saturday in February--the Indoor Market will be back at Christ Church, where it will be every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. until the Hudson Farmers' Market reopens at Sixth and Columbia streets on the first Saturday in May.
