News About the County and CEDC

Arthur Cusano reports this morning in the Register-Star that Columbia County Board of Supervisors chair Pat Grattan announced last night the creation of a subcommittee to study and evaluate the Columbia Economic Development Corporation (CEDC): "County to review relationship with CEDC." Two Hudson supervisors have been appointed to this subcommittee: Ellen Thurston (Third Ward) and Rick Scalera (Fifth Ward). The first meeting of the subcommittee will take place on Thursday, October 23, at 3 p.m.

  1. Surely supervisor Scalera will give the same scrutiny to this as governor Cuomo gave the Morland commission. Then these expert "developers" can return to doing for the county's economy what they have done to local industry.
