Will Rogers Would Feel Right at Home

Will Rogers once said, "I'm not a member of any organized political party. I'm a Democrat." He also said, "Democrats never agree on anything, that's why they're Democrats. If they agreed with each other, they'd be Republicans." Will Rogers would certainly recognize the Democrats of Hudson as his party.

John Mason reports on the rifts and dissension among Hudson Democrats in today's Register-Star: "Haddad will not run for mayor."  A part of the story Mason doesn't mention is that two members of the Hudson City Democratic Committee--Angella Pace, first vice chair, and Carole Osterink, who joined the committee last fall--resigned on June 9, after the committee revisited and reversed its original decision, made on June 2, not to endorse longtime Hudson politician Rick Scalera as Fifth Ward alderman.
