It Was Ever Thus

Anyone who walks around Hudson has seen the white chalk lines marking spots in the pavement to be patched, and anyone who drives around Hudson has encountered traffic cones and barricades and crews of DPW workers repairing such spots.


Holes in the street are hardly a new problem. Gossips recently discovered this item that appeared in the Evening Register for April 22, 1922, which tells of the threat posed by pot holes decades ago and how they were dealt with.
