Happening on Warren Street Tomorrow

On Friday, at the Historic Preservation Commission meeting, Phil Forman, president of Friends of the First Presbyterian Church, announced that the wood tracery of the church's major stained glass window would be installed on August 18. That's tomorrow! So, if you're on Warren Street tomorrow, go by and have a look.

It was a little more than a year ago, on August 5, 2014, that the badly damaged tracery was removed and carted off to the Kress Workshop in Claverack to be replicated. Tomorrow, the new re-created tracery will be hung. The installation of the stained glass, being restored by Architectural Stained Glass in East Chatham, will follow soon after.
