Another Blessing Tomorrow

At 10 a.m. tomorrow morning, Mother Eileen Weglarz will be blessing the animals at Christ Church Episcopal on Union Street, and at 11 a.m., a block or so away on Warren Street, Reverend Kathryn Beilke will be blessing the newly restored stained glass window at the First Presbyterian Church.

This morning, someone could be seen still at work installing the final panels of the restored stained glass window behind the protective panes of clear glass. Today, the work will be complete, and at 11 a.m., the Friends of the First Presbyterian Church will hold their 20th Annual Meeting to dedicate the newly restored stained glass window in the church's facade and to acknowledge the "donors, artisans, preservationists, and dreamers who brought this beautiful 1876 window back to life on Warren Street."

The dedication celebration, which begins at 11 a.m., will take place outdoors, weather permitting. Following the dedication, lunch will be served in the church narthex. Reservations are required for lunch and can be made by emailing Phil Forman, president of the Friends, before 2 p.m. today. The cost of lunch is $15.
