Happy Flag Day

Today is Flag Day, the anniversary of the adoption of the flag created by Betsy Ross, with thirteen stars arranged in a circle and thirteen alternating red and white stripes, as the flag of the United States by the Second Continental Congress on June 14, 1777.

Flag Day was established by Woodrow Wilson in 1914, but it wasn't officially recognized as a holiday by an act of Congress until 1949.

Coincidentally, June 14 is also Donald Trump's birthday. He was born on this day in 1946 and turns 71 today.

  1. I was wondering if the universe had lost its sense of irony.
