Merino, if people would only acknowledge and welcome this in their public comments.

And why wouldn't the city's Common Council request this during the public comment period, or the mayor in his own comments?

The future of Hudson as an arts-based community is bound to recognize and celebrate the city's central contribution to American landscape painting, which has so much to do with the city's view to the Catskills.

Unfortunately these future Hudsonians will look back at us ignoramuses and wonder why we didn't jump on such a rare opportunity to bury the transmission lines when it was offered.

Perhaps I've been unclear: BURYING THE LINES TO MT. MERINO IS ALREADY IN THE PLAN.

The state is waiting to see whether or not anyone cares.
unheimlichhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00204285837938988668noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5723709701684173708.post-64560490175363437922014-01-16T16:15:05.097-05:002014-01-16T16:15:05.097-05:00This proposal is a real threat to our area. It'...This proposal is a real threat to our area. It's too bad that we already have power towers running across Mt. Merino and through farmland in historic agricultural areas of Ghent, CLAVERACK and Livingston. The state should be planning to bury high power lines rather than destroying more farmland to benefit the city. Maltiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11152605825183111762noreply@blogger.com
