A Disturbing Development

Investigative reporter Sarah Trafton has an article in the Times Union exposing the appearance of Leon Botstein, president of Bard College, in the Epstein files: "'I miss you': Emails detail close ties between Jeffrey Epstein and Bard President Leon Botstein." The picture below, which accompanies the article, shows Epstein in Botstein's office. It was included in an email set to Epstein on May 14, 2013, and released as part of the Justice Department's disclosure of the Epstein files.

Botstein is maintaining that his relationship with Epstein was "strictly for the purpose of securing donations for Bard."

  1. It must have been a slow news day today. This story was reported by the New York Times in May of 2023.

      A slow news day? Huh.

I think that every day of the week, the month, the year, the Epstein Files story should be on blast until every single man who used girls and/or women as disposable, soulless, playthings, are named publicly.

  2. What we will be hearing in the upcoming months is that everyone hated Epstein's guts and found him distasteful, and yet they all spent a conspicuous amount of time in his vicinity - all of course purely for fiduciary reasons.

I can't begin to describe how blessed I feel that I was never import enough to be given the opportunity to be invited into this circle of excrement.

  3. Anyone in a position of power or influence should be shamed for their association with Epstein, particularly after his 2008 arrest. Frankly, until the names of the men involved with the sex cabal are unredacted, I’ll assume they’re all guilty and corrupt. I personally have no respect for any person who puts money above justice or what’s right. Leon knew the money he was chasing was dirty, and he should feel the shame with the rest of the dirty lot.

  4. Epstein and any college/university fund raiser are the perfect example of the rot at the center of 21st century America: a known pedophile openly courts respectability by donating extorted money to elite educational institutions with bottomless appetites for money. In the end, he gains neither respect nor respectability. And the institutions are simultaneously financially enriched and made less morally and intrinsically valuable by the association. I believe that's what's commonly referred to as a "cluster fuck."

Just remember, folks, the US government and Bard are the 2 largest landlords in Hudson. One is a fascist hull of its former self. The other with the apparent morals of a pimp.

  7. peter j FYI, it’s all “really bad stuff” and many many women don’t need to imagine it. Unfortunately, none of it comes as a surprise.
