Curtiss Dock" on the 1839 map (re: the first house listed in the above post).<br /><br />In the past year I've approached several people - including the official City Historian - to see whether there's any interest in giving the new dock the same name as the original dock which stood in its exact place.<br /><br />The typical reply was "Why would you want to do that?"<br /><br />Although the new dock appears not to have a name, I've concluded that there is no interest in the historical significance or continuity of the waterfront itself.unheimlichhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00204285837938988668noreply@blogger.com
