As a partner in the design firm founded by Melinda's sister (and NYC residents), I can report that we noticed this restaurant a long time ago and found ourselves harumphed on Melinda's behalf! But, of course, the fact of the slightly different spelling, the missing (and colorful) macron and the small variations in the letter spacing and ligature (not to mention the vastly different industries) make them enough different to conclude that in this case, imitation must be considered the highest form of flattery!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5723709701684173708.post-75608298195468811952013-08-14T14:48:23.307-04:002013-08-14T14:48:23.307-04:00One of Hudson's very best shops! One of Hudson's very best shops!<br />Ruth Moser in Real Estatehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18081483442542221847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5723709701684173708.post-17952691427656808232013-08-14T11:19:42.732-04:002013-08-14T11:19:42.732-04:00Macron (Greek: μακρόν [makrón] ) wasn't a word...Macron (Greek: μακρόν [makrón] ) wasn't a word I knew and it sent me to the dictionary. I don't know how long it has been in existence, so don't know who influenced who, or is it merely a coincidence. But fortunately, what they're selling are so different, and they're not in the same town, there is no danger of confusion. But it is a bit odd.
