And also the 'commercial shipping waterfront etc. To hear it from Cheryl's mouth is a whole different picture than the picture the public, as I've heard it, wants.
I appreciated Ellen's questions, and noted that the other members of the committee remained totally silent (other than Don, of course).
A lot of changes need to happen in the draft LWRP before it is finally approved and I hope they will be able to occur.Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14147241257381928706noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5723709701684173708.post-71276065011959834272010-06-25T12:15:31.758-04:002010-06-25T12:15:31.758-04:00Well, my question is who does Ms. Roberts answer t...Well, my question is who does Ms. Roberts answer to? That's who we should be putting pressure on.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5723709701684173708.post-46338102897114878142010-06-25T09:59:56.937-04:002010-06-25T09:59:56.937-04:00Just who is Ms Roberts working for? Instead she's all about making sure O & G gets everything they want while our interests are spurned.
There was a six year battle / victory against heavy industry that she conveniently ignores. Her constant reminder that the Common Council voted for this draft implying a fait accompli is infuriating. Wish she could be fired - or have her pay held in escrow - until she gets back up on the fence of observing both viewpoints.vincentnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5723709701684173708.post-59112401438794018962010-06-25T07:16:10.162-04:002010-06-25T07:16:10.162-04:00Thanks for your diligence on this, Carole. She spends more time advocating for industry than she does for the best interests of the City and its people. The present draft of the LWRP is so bad that if it were to pass, we could actually find ourselves worse off than we are now in terms of the appeal of our waterfront.Sturgeonnoreply@blogger.com
