Hudson's Conservation Advisory Council has been notified repeatedly about the solvable problems at Underhill, as have the crooks who mismanage the Region 4 permitting office at the NYSDEC. <br /><br />What good were any of these efforts? For years, all attempts to get officials to take the steps they're already obligated to take have failed. <br /><br />I attribute government's lack of concern for Underhill to the total indifference of the local public. Is this because Oakdale directly serves human needs, whereas Underhill doesn't? <br /><br />One of the great regulatory innovations of our LWRP was to extend the State's "coastal boundary" to include both Underhill and Oakdale.
