I had a recent run-in with someone in the park and a stranger said from afar "No one will help you." That's the way it feels, unsafe and unprotected by the cops who seem to think it's all amusing. It seems a corrupt police force is a really hard thing to shake.BILLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06165652134301551300noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5723709701684173708.post-9374391835190487522022-11-13T11:59:38.370-05:002022-11-13T11:59:38.370-05:00Hudson ... the microcosm of the macrocosm Hudson ... the microcosm of the macrocosm leonardo siderihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07238144897574760385noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5723709701684173708.post-81257645579104183882022-11-12T07:54:14.346-05:002022-11-12T07:54:14.346-05:00Congratulations to the HPD on this arrest but ther...Congratulations to the HPD on this arrest but there is much more work to be done.
The corner of 2nd and Warren was the location of a vicious beating where a pack of approximately 10 kids attacked 2 men, one required medical attention.
The victim filled out a statement and requested charges be filed. There has been very little done even though the facts are not in dispute because of eyewitness accounts and video surveillance.
The disturbing part is that these kids continue to gather and threaten and harass innocent people just walking the street. How long until another cowardly attack?
I understand they are kids but they should not be allowed to make our streets unsafe and they need to be held accountable.
The HPD is well aware of this problem but seems unwilling to take action. If it is a resource issue they need to work with other agencies (Sheriff, NYS Police) to make sure our streets are safe.
Charlie Millarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13505826817971493970noreply@blogger.com
