Demolition Opposition Update
A technical glitch apparently having to do with Internet Explorer prevented the Save 900 Columbia Street petition from being delivered on schedule last Friday, but with a little (much appreciated) help from a blogging colleague with a Mac and Firefox, the petition, with 652 signatures, was finally downloaded early Sunday morning. An electronic copy of the petition was sent via email yesterday to Jeffrey Rovitz, Executive Director of the Mental Health Association of Columbia-Greene Counties, with a cover letter restating the argument for sparing the building and requesting a meeting to explore an alternative that would achieve MHA's goal while preserving this historic house. Hard copies of the petition will be delivered today.
Congratulations, Carole. And thank you so much for spearheading this effort.

Carole, Ruth spoke with Jeff this morning and he is ready (and has been ready) to meet with whomever wants to discuss the project.
ReplyDeleteWell, Michael, if this is true, why hasn't he accepted my invitation?
ReplyDeleteI don't know. When we spoke to him in the morning he apparently hadn't received your invitation.
ReplyDeleteWhy don't you call him?
Just got an email from him. We'll be meeting as soon as we can work out a date and time.
