Misleading Headline
Could it be that the person who writes the headlines in the Register-Star doesn't bother to read the articles very carefully? There's evidence to suggest that in today's paper. The headline of Jamie Larson's article about the Historic Preservation Commission public hearing on Thursday crows "Historic preservation commission gives court plans thumbs up," yet no decision about granting a certificate of appropriateness was made at the public hearing, and the second paragraph of Larson's article states (italics added): "It is likely that the $8 million project will receive a certificate of appropriateness from the commission at its June 10 meeting. . . ."
To answer the question that starts this post: yes.
