The City of Hudson gave Kim Singletary until October 7--this coming Friday--to demolish the old CC Club at the corner of Columbia and Third streets. Last Friday, Singletary agreed to let the City demolish the building, and it is unclear what deadline the City has given itself. But before the building comes down, Gossips offers one more look at the back of the church building that became the Colored Citizens Club in 1941 and was entombed as part of the current CC Club sometime after 1958. This picture showing the back of 255 Columbia Street when it was still St. John's Methodist Episcopal Church was taken from the backyard of 15 North Third Street in 1931.
