And Now for Something Truly Different

Hudson is becoming known for music and for musical diversity. Within our two square miles can be heard classical, blues, rock, bluegrass, cabaret, jazz, opera, Cajun, pop, soul, and the list goes on. But tonight at the Hudson Opera House, you can hear music that is diverse and eclectic unto itself: the songs of Savat-Nova, a self-taught 18th-century Armenian troubadour who wrote songs in six languages and bridged the cultures of three countries. In a concert that begins at 8 p.m., internationally recognized pianist and composer Armen Donelian will perform his unique solo piano arrangements of songs of Savat-Nova, which blend Armenian, classical, and jazz elements. Admission is $15; $12 for HOH members, students, and seniors.
