Keeping Up with Abramovic and Gaga

A reader alerted me to this feature in Metrosource about Lady Gaga's s recent album, ARTPOP. It identifies Marina Abramovic, "grandmother of performance art," as Lady Gaga's muse and speaks of the Marina Abramovic Institute as if it already existed.

    ArtPop was released in November. Not a success. Likely to lose $25 million for her label Interscope. As Gaga goes "high art," her sales drop.

    I didn't catch her entire appearance on the Howard Stern Show (12 Nov 2013), but she referenced Marina Abramovic and performance art several times in the segment I heard.
