The Columbia County Department of Health has released its numbers for today. The good news is that there are only seventeen new cases being reported today. The bad news is that there has been another death. The CCDOH is reporting four more active cases today than yesterday, suggesting that thirteen more people are now considered to be recovering. There are twelve fewer county residents in mandatory quarantine today than yesterday, but the number hospitalized with the virus has increased by eleven and number in the ICU has increased by six.
The New York Forward dashboard is reporting a positivity rate for Columbia County yesterday of 6.6 percent--the highest in the Capital Region--and a seven-day average of 6.8 percent--also the highest in the Capital Region. By comparison, the daily positivity rate for the entire Capital Region is 4.1 percent and the seven-day average is 4.9 percent.
