On Monday, a few hours after the news went public that Galvan was donating its properties in Hudson and Columbia County to Bard College, Joe Ferris, Democratic candidate for mayor, released a statement hailing the transfer of ownership as "an opportunity to engage with a partner who can demonstrate that they will work with our city in good faith" and calling for transparency.
Yesterday, responding to the same news, Republican mayoral candidate Lloyd Koedding issued this press release:
Welp that settles it. I’m not voting for Lloyd.
