In a comment posted on the weekly "Meetings and Events in the Week Ahead," Peter Meyer noted that the list omitted tonight's meeting of the Hudson City School District Board of Education. The meeting takes place at 6:00 p.m. in the Hudson High School Auditorium. It will also be livestreamed on YouTube.
There two things of particular interest on agenda for the meeting. The first is voting on a resolution to schedule a referendum to approve the sale of the John L. Edwards school building to Pennrose Bricks and Mortar for $2.15 million. The resolution indicates the referendum will take place on Thursday, November 13.
Also on the agenda for tonight's meeting is reviewing the letters of interest in the vacant seat on the Board of Education, made vacant by the resignation in August of Calvin Lewis, and appointing someone to fill that seat.
