Sometime today, 34 affidavit ballots will be counted at the Board of Elections, and we will get an update on the results in the mayoral race. As it stands now, Joe Ferris has 947 votes, Kamal Johnson has 892. In the meantime, Peter Spear has some comments about the close election and the incumbent's response to the results reported thus far in his most recent Alley Chat: "The outcome is close but not unclear. Why is Mayor Johnson calling it into question?" That commentary can be found here.
