There's nothing more frustrating than listening to the audio of a presentation that obviously involves lots of visuals. After listening intently to architect Shohei Shigematsu, of Rem Koolhaas's firm OMA, on WGXC this morning, describing the plans for the old Community Theater and trying in vain to envision what it would look like, I discovered that the New York Times already had the rendering of building as they are proposing to alter it. Here it is.
Looks great !
ReplyDeleteI like it as a way to preserve the historic street presence of the old building, while also conveying a sleek modern feel.
ReplyDeleteBut does this mean that in the future we all are going to have to wear white lab coats when we are on Upper Columbia Street?

I like it. A modern twist on classic.
ReplyDeleteSeems a little over the top, but I guess that's her thing.
