This adds up to 414, the total number of cases reported yesterday, June 12. Beyond the statement quoted above about "data quality assurance efforts," there is no explanation was offered by the CCDOH for what appears to have been some significant over-reporting. In the case of Hudson, where the number went from 33 to 24, it is likely that cases in other municipalities within the 12534 zip code were attributed to Hudson. In the case of Kinderhook, which went from 41 to 24, cases in Valatie and Niverville were probably previously attributed to the Town of Kinderhook. The number for Claverack, however, has increased by six, despite Philmont now being listed separately with five cases.
