You will see over the years on our posts over Oakwood and Parkwood boulevards, we have major concerns as well. What traffic studies have been done and what can be changed to address not only the traffic on the Blvd’s but parking as well? Don’t get me wrong, as I’m also for more housing and apartment complexes, as long as it’s done correctly and consistently across the board.
There needs to be a traffic light at the end of either Parkwood or Oakwood to allow cars to exit safely to Fairview. As it stands one has to wait ions for a break in the north/ south traffic to enter Fairview. We deal with this daily. A traffic study supposedly was done and declared no problem noted. Now we will have to compete with construction vehicles. “The price of living in a city” they say as long as it’s not their neighborhood.

Put a traffic light at one of those intersections to prevent crashes and calm traffic... and install a red light camera to nab all the drivers who will be running the reds regularly! The question is: would it be Hudson's, Greenport's or DOT's light? Who would get this done?
