On the Issue of the Power Lines
The Hudson Valley Smart Energy Coalition (HVSEC) announced yesterday that it had filed official comments with the New York State Public Service Commission in its review of the proposed high-voltage power lines that would pass through seven Hudson Valley counties, including Columbia County. In the technical comments, HVSEC asserted that "developers still have failed to demonstrate a need for the project and that new information and analysis shows that there is no basis for the project in terms of electric system reliability, consumer rates, economics, or public policy." The entire press release can be read here.
