On the weekend after the Iowa caucuses, Virginia Martin, embattled "holdover" Democratic Commissioner of Elections, submitted to the Register-Star a letter to the editor commenting on the November election here in Columbia County. Virginia Martin is a consummate professional and expert in her field. I'm grateful for the years of service she provided to our party and our county. I'm happy to see Ken Dow step in as her replacement, but she'll be missed.
