Merchants Social, located at the corner of Warren Street and City Hall Place (where Ca' Mea used to be), generously had a friends & family preview for three days prior to what was supposed to be its opening night on June 4. Gossips was honored to be one of the invitees, and the meal was spectacular in every respect.
Strangely, though, the restaurant did not open on June 4 but remained closed throughout the summer. Merchants Social finally opened last week. An article about it was published today in Chronogram: "Chef John DeLucie's Merchants Social Now Open in Hudson."
