Save the Date

The Dr. Oliver Bronson House has something in common with Brigadoon, the mysterious Scottish village that appeared for just one day every one hundred years. The opportunity to experience the Bronson House is similarly rare. The last time the public had access to the historic house, Hudson's only National Historic Landmark, was in October 2020.

To mark its 30th anniversary, Historic Hudson, which has legal stewardship of the house, is inviting everyone to join them in celebrating thirty years of historic preservation in Hudson with a community event at the Bronson House. There will be refreshments and music but most important the chance to tour this hidden architectural treasure, which was originally constructed in 1812 and refitted and expanded by prominent American architect Alexander Jackson Davis in 1839 and 1849.

The event takes place from 11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 10. To request more information about the event, contact information@historichudson.org.

  1. Wonderful to see the Bronson House opening its doors! One of Hudson’s true architectural treasures! And Elaine Eichelberger is doing a superb job bringing renewed energy and attention to this remarkable place. Can’t wait!
