Meetings and Events in the Week Ahead

As both Labor Day and the first day of September, today marks the unofficial end of summer. (Summer doesn't actually end until September 22.) As we look forward to another week of temperate late summer weather, here is what's happening.
  • On Tuesday, September 2, at 9:30 a.m., the Hudson Industrial Development Agency (IDA) holds a public hearing on the PILOT (payment in lieu of taxes) application from Pennrose for the adaptive reuse of the former John L.   • At 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, the Conservation Advisory Council holds its regular monthly meeting. The meeting is a hybrid, taking place in person at City Hall and on Microsoft Teams. Click here for the link to join the meeting remotely.
  • On Wednesday, September 3, the Hudson Industrial Development Agency (IDA) holds its regular meeting at 9:30 a.m. The agenda for the meeting includes an application for financial assistance from the Casetta Group for the hotel proposed for 601 Union Street, now being called Hudson Mansion.   • At 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3, the Common Council Legal Committee holds its regularly monthly meeting. No agenda is available for the meeting at this time.   • On Thursday, September 4, the Public Works Board meets at 5:30 p.m. The meeting is a hybrid, taking place in person at City Hall and on Microsoft Teams. Click here for the link to join the meeting remotely.
  • At 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, the History Room at the Hudson Area Library presents Epistolary Drama: The Tale of Whaling--local actors and musicians bring Hudson's whaling past to life in letters and song. Registration was required for the event, which takes place in the Community Room at the library, 51 North Fifth Street, and the event is currently fully booked.
