It's Only Money

On Wednesday night, the Columbia County Board of Supervisors unanimously passed a resolution to pay $43,000 in legal fees to the Village and Town of Kinderhook as a settlement in Czajka vs. Dellehunt. It is expected that the County will pay an additional $17,000 to the attorneys who represented District Attorney Paul Czajka in that case. Arthur Cusano has the story in today's Register Star.

In another resolution unanimously passed on Wednesday night, the Board of Supervisors agreed to pay $115,000 to former DSS commissioner Paul Mossman for legal fees "incurred fighting subpoenas from county District Attorney Paul Czajka." That story, by John Mason, also appears in today's Register-Star.
