The number of deaths from COVID-19 reported in Columbia County since in the beginning of the year has now reached 9.
A year ago today, the CCDOH reported 44 new cases of COVID-19. The total number of cases was 2,298, and the number of active cases was 319. There were 667 county residents in mandatory quarantine, 24 were hospitalized, and 1 was in the ICU. The total number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 at this time last year was 54.
I know one person that has recovered, and another I know that died yesterday. This is sad.
