  1. Why not call it the Dr. John L. Edwards Senior Center? Better than just wiping out a 100 year giant of Hudson. Maybe that is in the works. But the more we keep erasing these geniuses the more I get nervous that the shining example of what hard work, dedication to service and overall love of Hudson will continue to be at the mercy of wrecking balls and by people who couldn't pick out John Edwards in a police lineup. Edwards spent most of his life serving the wounded in WWI and then the sick poor in Hudson for the rest of his life. I also would suggest that the new buyers schedule a week for curious people to walk the school as it currently exists. Just one last time. In a world where erasing people in things seems to be a perverse sport, maybe we should celebrate people instead. It will warm our hearts in later life as we too look for dignity in our later years. On a Hudson hero scale of 1-10, JLE was a 20.Selling him in a low volume referendum rates a 1 on that scale. Veteran, doctor for the poor and untouchables, lover of all things Hudson and a man that never said no to a challenge. If we were building a Mt. Rushmore on the Catskills, he'd be there. I call him a Monument Man, along with MC. Smith and Charles WIlliams.
