Checking on the Progress

On May 21, the list of properties in Hudson with delinquent property taxes was made public. Gossips published the link to the list the next day. On Friday, eight days after the original list was published, city treasurer Heather Campbell published an updated list. The new list can be found here

The new list is slightly shorter than the original list. Campbell reports that ten properties have been redeemed, for a total of about $100,000. Despite this, total amount of unpaid taxes has increased from $2,625,855.82 to $2,981,637.93. This is because the list released on May 21 did not capture any unpaid city or county taxes for 2025 or any unpaid school taxes for 2024 and 2025. Since May 21, the list has been manually updated in the treasurer's office to include those additional amounts.

Anyone whose property appears on the list should know that the City offers an installment agreement plan for paying back taxes. It requires a minimum down payment of 25 percent of the total amount owed, and the balance must be paid in monthly installments within two years.
