- Also on Wednesday, July 2, the Common Council Legal Committee is scheduled to meet at 6:00 p.m. No agenda is available for the meeting, but there is a chance it could include the most recent version of the proposed tree ordinance. - Friday, July 4, marks 249 years since the adoption of the Declaration of Independence, the document that announced the creation of a new country. Along with the barbecues and the fireworks that celebrate the holiday, it might be worthwhile to spend some part of the day reading the document, a transcription of which can be found here.
