Food News

EATER New York had an article yesterday about the new business that opened on Saturday at 717 Warren Street: "An Old Hudson Diner Has Been Relaunched by an Exciting Culinary Team."

The new diner, called simply Hudson Diner, is a partnership of two Hudson businesses: Meat Hook and Mel the Bakery. The new diner's website can be found here. The complete menu can be found here.

  1. Was there Sunday eve, it was great, excellent hamburger, great decor, friendly staff and it was packed.

  2. Amazing food. Great vibes. Many team members from Gaskins re-connected at the diner, which is great to see.

Another great family owned business, hopefully Brent and team can expand to serve breakfast soon.

They also did a great job on the restoration / repair, and used many local builders and painters.

  3. How many ounces does one get in an eleven dollar glass of Suarez beer, the most local beer on the list? It had better be a lot more than the smallish (12 ounce?) $6 glass one can buy at the brewery a few miles outside of town. (Which, by the way, has moved its drinking and eating area to a different building on the property that includes outdoor seating and plenty of chirping birds to be seen and heard!)
