Columbia County Forward announced this afternoon that they have filed nearly 4,000 signatures to get the referendum for a county executive on the ballot in November. The announcement makes the following statements:
That's more than 10% of voters saying YES to modern, accountable leadership.
This is the largest grassroots petition effort in Columbia County history.
Really excited for Dorothy, Tom, and Verity from the City of Hudson Dems to explain to us why Charter Change, and efficient professionalized public service management, is absolutely necessary at the County level... but racist and unnecessary at the City of Hudson level...
ReplyDeleteLong time reader, first time commenter. I think the democrats have done something pretty remarkable here, that could throw open the lid of this whole mess. Hudson and Columbia County are more than a little intertwined. Change is coming and it can’t come fast enough.
